Information Minister: Bahrain, French talks fruitful

Paris, Sept. 8 (BNA): France today backed Bahrain’s efforts to confront terror attacks and root out the scourge of terrorism.
The stance was stressed as His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa and French President Francois Hollande held fruitful talks, which focused on strengthening bilateral relations.
"The French side expressed support to Bahrain’s efforts to stave off blatant interference in its internal affairs", said Information Affairs Minister Isa bin Abdulrahman Al-Hammadi.
The two leaders reviewed aspects of joint cooperation, stressing the possible contribution of French expertise in spearheading mega projects in Bahrain and pushing the march of development forward.
They also discussed key regional issues in the Middle East and urged an immediate solution and international action to alleviate the Syrian people’s suffering, in compliance with the international resolutions.
HM the King and French President spotlighted the nuclear agreement, recently signed between P5+1 (five permanent members of the Security Council and Germany) and Iran, stressing the need for the deal to be binding and put an end to flagrant Iranian interference in the internal affairs of countries in the region.
"The French side hailed the cultural diversity and spirit of co-existence between all sects and religions", Al-Hammadi said, adding that this long-standing feature will continue along the path heralded by the wise leadership and the will of Bahraini people.
President Hollande offered deepest condolences to Bahrain leaders, Government, people and bereaved families of martyrs who died performing their sacred national duty in the Saudi-led coalition to restore legitimacy in Yemen.
