Industry minister receives US ambassador

Manama, Jan. 10 (BNA): Industry, Commerce and Toursim Minister Zayed Al-Zayani received here today the US Ambassador to Bahrain William V. Roebuck, and reviewed with him a number of issues of common interest. The minister stressed that the kingdom welcomed and lauded all initiatives taken by the governments of the two countries to enhance their long-standing relations, crowned by the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) that contributed to increasing the volume of bilateral trade exchange. He affirmed the government's constant keenness to consolidating economic relations with all countries, especially those with which agreements and conventions have been signed. Al-Zayani underscored the crucial role played by the private sector in the two countries in taking advantage of the benefits of FTA to bolster joint cooperation.
