Industry Minister meets EDB's CEO

Manama, Sept. 22 (BNA): Industry and Commerce Minister Zayed bin Rashid Al-Zayani met the Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB)'s CEO Khalid Al-Rumaihi. During the meeting, the minister confirmed on the importance of cooperation and coordination to promote the investment environment of the Kingdom of Bahrain, which is one of the most attractive investment destinations for global projects, especially in light of appropriate environment and infrastructure owned. The minister said that the Ministry is looking for more coordination and cooperation with EDB and other concerned authorities to promote Bahrain as a nurturing and attractive environment for regional and international investments, in addition to the reinforcement of the infrastructure and the competitive privileges to attract more high added-value international projects for the national economy. The minister praised the vital effort carried out by the EDB in supporting the development process and attracting more foreign investment to Bahrain. The Undersecretary of Commerce Affairs Nader Al-Moayyed, Assistant Undersecretary for Tourism, Shaikh Khalid bin H'mood Al Khalifa, First Director of Investors Relations and Government Affairs Mazen Al Hilli and Director of Investors relations Mohammed Hijres were also present in the meeting.
