Industry and Commerce Minister receives Russian Ambassador

Manama, Nov. 13. (BNA) – Industry and Commerce Minister Dr. Hassan Abdulla Fakhro received here today the Russian Ambassador to Bahrain Victor Smirnov. Industry and Commerce Ministry's Undersecretary for Commerce Affairs Nader Khalil Al Moayyad and Director of Foreign Trade Relations Shaikh Hamad bin Salman Al Khalifa were also present. Dr. Fakhro lauded the remarkable progress of the Bahraini-Russian relations and the growth of economic cooperation between the private sector in the two friendly countries. He expressed the appreciation of the Kingdom's leadership and government of the efforts exerted by the Russian Embassy and Ambassador to Bahrain in enhancing bilateral ties, and activating the agreements and memoranda of understanding signed between the two sides on the sidelines of the historic visit of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and that of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier. Ambassador Smirnov affirmed his country's appreciation of the efforts of the Government of Bahrain to enhance bilateral relations in all fields, especially the economic and investment ones, praising the progress and development boom currently witnessed by the kingdom in the economic and urban fields, which, he said, has entitled to be an advanced investment and trade centre that attracts world investors and mega companies in light of the incentives provided thanks to the government's sound policies and far-sighted visions.
