Industry and Commerce Minister chairs Bahraini-Russian meeting

Manama, Apr. 2. (BNA)-- Industry and Commerce Minister, Dr. Hassan Fakhro, today chaired the seventh meeting for following up the results of HM the King's visit to Russia in 2008, which resulted in signing a number of memorandums of Understanding and cooperation agreements. The meeting was also attended by Russian Ambassador to Bahrain, Victor Smirnov, Russian Attaché to Bahrain, a number of Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI)'s members, businessmen, investors and government officials. Industry and Commerce Minister highlighted strengthening economic cooperation and developing joint investment projects. He stressed activating Bahraini-Russian Business Council to promote bilateral cooperation. Russian Ambassador noted arrangements being undertaken by the Russian Embassy to host a high-level Russian delegation to discuss with Bahraini counterparts economic, banking, agricultural and construction cooperation.
