Industrial production in EAEU increased by 5.6% in January-March 2022

Bishkek, May 19, 2022. / Kabar /. In January-March 2022, industrial production in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) amounted to USD 361.8 billion and increased by 5.6% compared to the same period in 2021. According to data of the organization, an increase in production was observed in all countries of the Union: in Kyrgyzstan - by 7.3%, in Russia - by 5.9%, in Kazakhstan - by 5.8%, in Armenia - by 3.1% and in Belarus – by 0.2%. The most significant increase in production was in the mining industry and quarrying - by 8.1%. The Eurasian Economic Union is an international organization for regional economic integration. The EAEU provides for free movement of goods, services, capital and labor, pursues coordinated, harmonized and single policy in the sectors determined by the Treaty and international agreements within the Union. The member-states of the Eurasian Economic Union are Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
