Indonesian Pavilion Wins Two Awards At Los Angeles Travel Show

JAKARTA, Feb 24 (Antara) - The Wonderful Indonesia Pavilion received two awards at the Los Angeles Travel and Adventure Show 2017, held in Los Angeles, the US, on February 18-19, 2017. According to a statement from the Ministry of Tourism received by Antara here, Thursday, the pavilion won awards for the best show of cultural display and the best dance world cultural heritage center. Indonesia's Wonderful Indonesia Pavilion defeated the ones presented by China, Spain, Panama, Tahiti, Egypt, and Middle East countries. Tourism Minister Arief Yahya said the awards focus on three key areas: boosting the confidence of the nation, raising Indonesia's credibility in the international arena, and gauging the brand value of Wonderful Indonesia at the global level. Head of American and African Markets Promotion Hari Budiarti stated that the Wonderful Indonesia pavilion welcomed the visitors and offered an array of traditional cuisines, including beverages. Indonesia also showcased a variety of traditional dances and a theater show titled, "Destination Theatre Soft Adventure of Wonderful Indonesia: People, Culture & Nature." The government is expecting to attract 15 million foreign tourists, higher than 12 million foreign tourist arrivals recorded last year.
