Indonesian Ambassador Receives Award From Budapest University
JAKARTA, May 19 (Antara) - The Indonesian Ambassador to Hungary, Wening Esthyprobo, has been awarded the Certificate of Merit from Budapest Business School (BBS), which was handed over by BBS Vice-Rector Andras Jancsik at the Indonesia-Hungary Rectors Conference in Budapest, Tuesday (May 16).
A statement from the Indonesian Embassy in Budapest received here, Thursday, mentioned the award was given to Ambassador Wening for supporting, encouraging and advancing cooperation in the field of education and socio-cultural ties between the BBS and various Indonesian universities.
Thanks to the efforts of the ambassador, BBS was able to open the Indonesian Language Course with teachers from the Embassy, and it has been included in the curriculum.
"The cooperation in the field of higher education has always been one of the priorities of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Budapest, and we will always be ready to bridge the cooperation among state and private higher education institutions of the two countries," the ambassador said.
Ambassador Wening also promoted Nasi Goreng a la Indonesia (Indonesian fried rice) dish to students of the Faculty of Commerce, Catering and Tourism at the BBS. She has a dream that Nasi Goreng will be included in BBS's Alumni menu list.
Educational cooperation between Indonesian universities and BBS include exchange of lecturers, publication of scientific papers and joint research.
Last year, BBS established a special study for the Asian region supported by the Indonesian government.
The Indonesian-Hungarian Rector Conference held by the Budapest Business School (BBS) saw participation from 19 leaders of Indonesian private universities.
BBS has hosted the conference thrice in 2012, 2015 and 2017.
