Implementation of ADB's anti-crisis program in Kyrgyzstan discussed in Bishkek

Bishkek, May 17, 2022. /Kabar/. Minister of Finance of Kyrgyzstan Almaz Baketayev met on Monday with Principal Public Management Specialist of Central and West Asia Department of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Tariq Niazi. The Finance Ministry of Kyrgyzstan reported that following issues were discussed during the meeting: - Development of small and medium-sized enterprises; - Development of public-private partnerships; - Development of industry-related skills; - Increasing the sustainability of financial and social protection to ensure stabilization and recovery after COVID. In addition, Baketayev and Niazi discussed implementation of the ADB anti-crisis program in the Kyrgyz Republic. They touched upon the priorities of development of the republic, the strategic directions of cooperation with ADB, the interaction between Kyrgyzstan and ADB, including the provision of assistance by ADB to implement projects planned for 2022-2024. As a result of the meeting, the sides agreed on the joint development of cooperation and implementation of upcoming bilateral projects.
