ictQatar Holds Conference On Secure Energy

Doha , February 23 (QNA) - ictQatar's cyber security department QCERT held Saturday the Information Security Conference for the Qatari Energy Sector with attendence of a host of international and local speakers in the field. Executive Director at QCERT Khalid Sadiq Al-Hashmi said today that the conference provides a new opportunity to raise awareness on Cyber Security in the energy field, particularly as energy is one of the most vital sectors to Qatar's economy. He said that Qatar has made great strides in the field of cyber security, which prompted countries like Japan to use the help of Qatar in that field. He said that Japan was looking particularly at the State of Qatar's ICS Security Guideline and was looking to translate it to Japanese. He called on research institutes to prepare researches that could help improve cyber security in the State of Qatar. (QNA)
