Doha, June 20 (QNA) - University students in Qatar who are interested in a career in information and communication technology have the opportunity to gain experience by interning with one of country s largest banks, Qatar National Bank (QNB).
In partnership with the Supreme Council of Information and Communication Technology (ictQATAR),QNB is offering 20 ICT-related internships and 20scholarships as part of ictQATAR s TumuhaTEC initiative.
TumuhaTEC is aimed at encouraging Qatar s youth to pursue careers in ICT, one of the country s fastest growing industries and one of the most important for attainment of the national vision.
"The information and communication technology sector is considered one of the most important and rapidly growing sectors. It contains essential ingredients for activating and developing all aspects of our institutional operations.
The planned internships and scholarships meet the needs of our business and are in harmony with the requirements of economic and technological growth here in Qatar.
QNB is keeping up with the latest technological developments in all its departments, and we will continuously offer training courses for the employees in order to guarantee the highest professional standards," said Yousef Al-Othman, General Manager of Group Human Capital at QNB.
