ICC, UAE National Archives sign agreement

Abu Dhabi, Apr. 8 – (BNA): The Board of Trustees' Chairman of Isa Cultural Centre (ICC), Dr. Shaikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Director-General of the United Arab Emirates (UAE)'s Presidential Affairs Ministry-affiliated National Archives, Dr. Abdullah Al-Rayyes. The agreement aims to expand cooperation vistas in the field of archiving, exchange of expertise between the two sides to preserve national memory. The memorandum covers cooperation to enrich the documentary heritage of both institutions, indexing, digitalization and accessibility to the general public and users in both countries. The agreement also includes cooperation programmes and activities on archiving, exchange of expertise, lectures, workshops, training, exhibitions, scientific trips and mutual visits for three years. The agreement is renewable upon mutual consent.
