IAA President, KUNA Chairman convene
Manama, May 11 (BNA) –Information Affairs Authority (IAA) President, Ali Mohammad Al-rumaihi, praised the deep-rooted relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Kuwait in all areas, considering them as a model of a constructive cooperation under the friendly ties binding the two leaderships and people.
This came as IAA President today received Board Chairman and Director General of Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) , Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij Al-Ibrahim Al-Sabah, in the presence of Kuwaiti Ambassador to Bahrain, Sheikh Azzam Al-Sabah.
IAA President hailed media cooperation between the two countries in the fields of exchange of news services, training and media cooperation for the support of joint Gulf media action strategy.
IAA President welcomed the Kuwaiti delegation visit that comes in line with the GCC information ministers' resolution on the exchange of visits and expertise among the Gulf news agencies' officials and staff.
KUNA Chairman and Kuwaiti Ambassador toured Bahrain News Agency (BNA) facilities and were briefed on English and Arabic departments, local news studio, electronic media and department of researches and information.
BNA Acting Director General, Mohannad Sulaiman Al-Nuaimi, briefed the Kuwaiti delegation on the latest methods followed in broadcasting news and photos, BNA role in delivering the vocational goals in Arabic, English, French and German languages, the development witnessed by BNA departments and the latest equipment provided to promote media work to cope with accelerating technological development in the same field.
KUNA Chairman commended the fraternal bilateral media relations, thanks to the wise leaderships of both countries, welcoming further media cooperation for the benefit of both sides.
