Hungarian president addresses business forum

ISTANBUL (A.A) - Hungarian President Pal Schmitt on Thursday delivered a speech at a meeting of the Turkish-Hungarian Business Forum hosted by Turkey's Foreign Economic Relations Board in Istanbul. Schmitt said Turkey and Hungary could cooperate in many fields such as renewable energy, biogas, waste recycling, information technologies and transportation. Schmitt said Hungary was rich in thermal waters and he invited Turkish investors to build hotels in his country. The Hungarian president said his country would continue to support Turkey in its bid for European Union accession, which he said needed patient and resolute effort.  "Turkey achieved a substantial social and economic transformation over the past ten years. And your country's strategic geographical position offers a enormous potential," Schmitt said.
