HRH Premier's directives to revitalise economy praised

Manama, June 25 (BNA): Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) Khalid Abdulrahman Al-Moayyad has praised the sound directives issued by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa when he received a number of businessmen, Press personnel and citizens at his Ramadan Majlis.
Chairing the Majlis, HRH Premier had called for concerted efforts to revitalise the national economy through availing of the government’s trade openness policy and its efforts to consolidate economic diversity and strengthen the role of the private sector.
He also urged to increase productivity, improve performance, avoid laxity and laziness and focus more on economic issues in order to spur the economy, support the role of the private sector and upgrade the citizens’ living standards through generating more job opportunities for them.
Al-Moayyad said that HRH Premier’s directives confirm, anew, the government’s support to BCCI as the representative of the private sector, which, he said, will stimulate the sector and enable it to play its pivotal role in the sustainable development march.
They will also increase the confidence of business, industry and investment circles in Bahrain and abroad in the kingdom’s investment atmosphere, which, he asserted, will push economic development forward.
BCCI Chairman added that HRH Premier’s directives reflect his confidence in the ability of BCCI and the private sector to play a major role in the trade and economic fields, voicing pride in the Prime Minister’s constant keenness to listen to the views of businessmen and traders, and desire to provide an investment-attracting environment in the kingdom.
He pointed out that HRH the Prime Minister has always called for ensuring easy procedure for investors and removing all obstacles that impede the investment process so that the Bahraini trade sector can flourish and contribute the national development march.
Such directives will have positive impacts as they will serve the kingdom’s policies in attracting more trade and business institutions and investors.
He reiterated the support of the Bahraini business community to HRH Premier’s directives and policies aiming to consolidate the role of the private sector in revitalising the national economy.
