HRH Premier urges more vigilance

Manama, Sept. 7 (BNA): HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa urged more vigilance in dealing with regional challenges. He stressed that the fast-paced regional developments require vigilance and full readiness to anticipate incidents and act effectively. HRH the Prime Minister was speaking as he received at Gudaibiya Palace today Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, members of the Shura and Representatives Councils, former Speaker of the Representatives Council Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Dhahrani and senior officials. He stressed that regional developments will only boost the kingdom's strength and ability to take the necessary steps to maintain national security and stability. He called on the GCC countries to rally ranks and give union top priority in this crucial phase, pointing out that what is happening in Yemen asserts the dire need for the GCC countries to unite. HRH the Premier underlined Bahrain's hard-won gains which, he said, are the dividends of dedicated national work in which all Bahrainis took part diligently. He emphasised his continuous follow-up on issues raised by the Representatives Council members, praising their sense of responsibility to fast-track development according to available resources. HRH the Prime Minister commended cooperation between the legislative and executive branches to boost the economy and maximise benefits for citizens. He urged to use openness as a gateway to development and modernisation by availing of successful experiences. He underlined the importance of security as a prerequisite for economic development, pointing out that attempts to undermine stability aim first and foremost at halting the development movement. HRH the Premier emphasised that determination leading the development movement is more powerful than the subversive plots for people's awareness is capable of deterring any attempt to undermine social and economic security.
