HRH Premier receives senior officials, citizens

Manama, May 17 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has urged not to be preoccupied by issues that cause division, stressing that what the region is going through requires awakening and caution so that the scope of instability does not become wider and difficult to control. "As an Arab Nation, we have to get united so as to leave no room for the enemies of Arabism to reap the fruits of our division, and those who fuel sedition to achieve their goals. The region has had enough wars and conflicts that have had negative impacts on its countries' development and peoples," he said. HRH the Prime Minister affirmed that although the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) are peace-loving and are stretching hands of cooperation and love to all, some issues can be resolved only through decisive actions, and interference and plots can be stopped only by firmness. He voiced the stances as he received here today a number of senior state officials and citizens. HRH Premier asserted that the current regional and global developments require a new form of international cooperation based on joint interests; not unilateral ones. He pointed out that the GCC bloc has made advanced cooperation steps, noting that during the recent incidents, it has proved its ability to lead an Arab awakening that preserved the interests of the Arab Nation and strengthened its structure and integrity. On local issues, HRH the Prime Minister praised the solid ties bonding the members of the Bahraini society within the one-family framework, urging the need to promote values that maintain the Bahraini society's cohesion, being the protective shield against attempts to sow division among the members of the one-family Bahraini society. HRH the Premier reviewed with the audience the latest developments witnessed by the investment sector in the kingdom. In this regard, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Hilal Conferences & Exhibitions (HCE) Anwar Abdulrahman lauded the efforts of the government, led by HRH Premier, to provide an investment-stimulating economic environment, especially in the real estate sector. He described the Premier's support as a catalyst for the private sector to play a greater role in the economic field. Members of Al-Awadhi family extended sincere thanks and appreciation to HRH the Prime Minister for the noble feelings he had expressed while offering condolences over the demise of the late Shaikh Ali Ahmed Al-Awadhi, praying to Allah Almighty to bless HRH Premier with abundant good health and guide him on the right path for the best interest of Bahrain and its people. In this context, HRH Premier lauded the qualities of the late Shaikh Ali Al-Awadhi and praised his landmark contributions to the trade sector and national work.
