HRH Premier receives parliamentarians

Manama, Feb 15 (BNA): HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, today at Gudaibiya Palace, received Shura Council Chairman Ali Al-Saleh, and Representatives and Shura members, in the presence of former Speaker of the Representatives Council, Khalifa Al-Dahrani, and senior officials. HRH Prime Minister said democracy is the mutual respect of different opinions and views, adding that attempts to disrupt work flow under the pretext of practicing freedom is considered a crime. He pointed out vandalism wearing the mantel of democracy is terrorism, and that its perpetrators must be dealt with accordingly. He stressed taking advantage of the state services for terrorist and subversive purposes is a crime that will not be tolerated. He called for preserving national unity and safe and stable atmosphere. He urged pushing forward efforts to enhance the homeland's progress and prosperity. He added that differences in views regarding national action must not conflict with the national interest. He commended the cooperation between the legislative and executive branches for the support of the national economy amid the international economic developments. He noted that the measures taken by Bahrain to deal with those challenges have been undergone extensive consideration to ease the impact on citizen-related matters.
