HRH Premier receives MPs, senior officials

Manama, June 29 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has urged to focus Bahraini investments in the kingdom, stressing that Bahrainis should be the first to support the national economy. He called for the need to strengthen executive-legislature cooperation in the near future to create a secure atmosphere and opportunities to boost the requirements of success for economic and investment activities. HRH Premier made the statements as he received here today a number of MPs, Shura Council members and senior state officials, in the presence of the Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, former Speaker Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Dhahrani and First Deputy Speaker Ali Al-Aradi. HRH the Prime Minister affirmed that the competent sides had already been directed to strengthen control and preventive measures to protect society from terrorism, particularly amid the volatile security situation in the region. Instructions have already been issued to take firm action against whoever supports terrorism, intellectually or through funding, HRH Premier said, adding that he is looking forward to cooperation among all sides in this regard. "This deviant and inhumane ideology cannot be confronted and eradicated only through joining efforts and adopting unified stances," he said. He emphasised that what is happening in the region requires more vigilance and caution, noting that the region has been dragged into an unstable situation in which a unilateral policy was adopted to address it. HRH the Prime Minister urged full cooperation in order to foil plans aiming to make instability a reality in the region.
