HRH Premier receives MPs, senior officials

Manama, June 22 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received at the Gudaibiya Palace today the Speaker of the Representatives Council Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al-Mulla and Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, in the presence of former Speaker Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Dhahrani, MPs, Shura Council members and senior state officials. The audience extended sincere congratulations to HRH Premier on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, wishing him many happy returns. "Allah Almighty has blessed the Kingdom of Bahrain with such a cohesive people whose members are bound by a unique relationship within the one-family framework, supported by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa," he said. He urged to join ranks and mobilise all efforts to serve the nation, improve the citizens' living standards and bring about new landmark achievements that consolidate Bahrain's leading status in various fields. He called upon authorities to pay more attention to the economy, the backbone and the basis of every development efforts, stressing the need not to leave any loophole for those who are unhappy with the kingdom's progress to distract the government by politics at the expense of its economic development priorities. "Successful politics needs a successful and robust economy that paves the way for it to achieve its goals," he explained. On regional and global issues, HRH the Prime Minister said that some sides are trying to exploit the existing challenges to subvert the region's security and stability, and impede its development march, noting that Arab countries are capable of resolving Arab problems within the Arab framework.
