HRH Premier praises Saudi Arabia’s stances, role

Manama, Dec. 9 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Prime Minister stressed that stances of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia in supporting Arab and Islamic issues and of right and justice formed a solid foundation, which contributed to maintaining the security and stability of the countries and peoples of the region and its ability to survive in the face of various challenges.
" We are looking forward with hope and optimism to the GCC summit to be hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Wednesday for a brighter future for our countries and peoples in the Gulf. We are also hoping that this summit will consolidate the entity GCC and expand its joint action prospects in light of surrounding conflicts , His Royal Highness said.
In an interview with Saudi "Al-Riyadh" newspaper, published today ( Wednesday ) on the occasion of the thirty-sixth GCC summit, hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, he emphasized that the current circumstances ,under which the Riyadh summit is being held earn it special importance due to the rich agenda of topics aimed at the promotion of joint GCC action and addressing the on-going developments and their economic, security and political implications for the region.
He asserted that the Kingdom of Bahrain under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, has made further strengthened GCC joint action a priority on the agenda of its policies and strategies out of belief in the shared GCC Member States purposes in terms of unity and destiny.
He added that the GCC peoples are looking forward to the results of the summit.
"They are s prompted by great hopes and optimism that the that leaders of the Gulf GCC Member States would come out with decisions that enhance security and protect the Gulf’s political, economic and social gains, the premier noted.
HRH stressed that security must be a priority to any other goal as security and stability are key axes to continue the process of development, and the GCC countries should further increase bilateral coordination and cooperation in a way that would enhance their capabilities so as to be more powerful to confront all attempted chaos and division plots, which the GCC countries are meant to get involved in .
" With strong will and work we can give our people a lot, especially in light of the tense economic situation due to vagaries of international markets, especially in terms of oil prices. Everyone should work in a positive spirit until this crisis will have been overcome successfully, he said.
His Highness said, that "We have to resolve to cooperate open-endedly and there should be no barriers between us just like large economic and political entities, and that this goal is to be the subject of attention , as we shared same destiny, hopes and future ."
" What the region and the world is witnessing in terms of rapid and unprecedented developments makes it imperative for the GCC countries to deal with this reality in unconventional ways that would maintain stability and security of their people,. And this requires that the GCC summit must be held more than once in accordance with emerging circumstances for further joint coordination , HRH noted.
He reiterated that the Gulf Union is a strategic choice in a world that recognizes only blocs, saying that the Union not only provides a powerful and cohesive umbrella that strengthens collective security, but would also form a giant economic entity that would provide necessary needs to achieve the hopes of the peoples of the GCC countries in prosperity and well-being requirements.
His Royal Highness praised the fraternal relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and their shared history and destiny. He noted the important role played by Saudi Arabia in promoting the GCC march in the common interests of the Arab Gulf States
