HRH Premier praises Bahrain's rich charity work record

Manama, Dec. 7 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has affirmed that the kingdom boasts a rich charity work record, expressing sincere thanks to charity societies and those in charge of them for devoting themselves to serving charitable and humanitarian work. He also thanked benefactors in the Bahraini society whose philanthropic work, he said, embodies the values of collaboration and solidarity stipulated by the tolerant precepts of Islam. HRH Premier made the statements as he received at the Gudaibiya Palace today the Speaker of the Representatives Council Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al-Mulla, Shura Council Chairman Ali Saleh Al-Saleh, several MPs and Shura Council members and a number senior state officials. "I am proud of my relation with our dear people. I feel that I am close to Bahraini citizens and that they are close to me, and that was manifested in the sincere sentiments that had expressed while congratulating me on the success of the medical check-ups I had undergone recently," HRH Premier said, expressing heartfelt gratitude to the well-wishes for the noble feelings they had showcased. "This proves the fact that we live in tightly-knit family under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, which makes me more resolved to give top priority to my work in serving this peace at the expense of my comfort and health," he explained. HRH the Prime Minister affirmed that Bahrain has reached leadership positions in many fields thanks to the sound leadership of HM King Hamad and the government's unwavering determination to achieve the best despite "the malicious attempts to impede the development march to serve goals and agendas that have become exposed to everyone." "They wanted to subvert security and stability and impede the development march in our beloved nation, but all their heinous attempts and plots have been thwarted thanks to the wisdom of HM the King and the strong resolve of the government to maintain Bahrain's status as an oasis of security and stability, as it has always been," he added. "The ceiling of our ambition for the sake of our country's progress and renaissance is high, and we are keen to remove any obstacles and shortcomings that limit our ambitions. We are all ears to the citizens regarding all matters and remarks," he also said. HRH the Prime Minister stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation between the Executive and Legislative branches, urging unified efforts to boost development and ensure that the citizens' needs are fulfilled. HRH Premier affirmed that Bahrain's social openness and cultural diversity are a source of pride, stressing the need to exert more efforts to preserve the authentic Bahraini values of co-existence, cohesion and fraternity, and work harder to help the kingdom reach the highest levels of progress and achievements.
