HRH Premier lauds Saudi stances

Manama, Apr. 28 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has stressed that the challenges that the region faced, and attempts to undermine its fundamentals and Arab identity required an Arab awakening to maintain its integrity and ensure a better future for the coming generations. He affirmed that the Arab Coalition, led by Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, had unified stances, and revived hope that the Arab and Islamic nations are still fine. "Loss of security and stability, and tampering with the fates of peoples in a bid to ignite domestic strife and fighting are the most serious threats to the integrity of the Arab Nation," he said, stressing that "solidarity and cohesion among our countries and peoples are the best means to foil all fragmentation and destruction plots targeting us." HRH the Prime Minister voiced the stances as he received at the Gudaibiya Palace today Royal Family members, senior state officials, intellectuals, media personnel and the ambassadors of Kuwait, Shaikh Azzam Mubarak Al Sabah, Saudi Arabia, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdul-Malik Al Al-Sheikh, and Jordan, Mohammed Ali Siraj. HRH Premier expressed pride in Saudi Arabia's stances in support of brotherly Yemen's legitimacy, unity and stability, lauding King Salman's leadership and directives which, he said, had contributed to unifying the stances of the UN Security Council's members regarding the threats to the Yemeni people. HRH the Prime Minister asserted that Saudi Arabia is the fortress and protective shield of the Arab Nation, noting that Saudi firm stances in defending Arab identity and Islam are living proofs of that. He wished Saudi Arabia and its brotherly people further progress and prosperity, under its leadership. HRH Premier recalled with pride and appreciation Saudi Arabia's honourable stances in support of Bahrain in all circumstances, as well as its support to GCC unity. He praised the depth of the outstanding Bahraini-Saudi relations, and the steadily progressing cooperation between them. On national issues, HRH Premier said that although the government had achieved a lot in various fields, its efforts to serve the citizens and fulfill their needs in all fields will continue unabated in order to ensure they enjoy all requirements of decent living. He stressed that security, being among the most important requirements of decent living, will not be compromised. "Without security, development cannot continue and yield fruitful results," he explained. The government is aware that security and stability are of great importance to the citizens, and, therefore, it is doing its utmost to fight terrorism, and stands firmly against whoever seeks to harm the solid relations among the segments of the Bahraini people, or undermine the co-existence values of the Bahraini society.
