HRH Premier lauds Bahraini, GCC sports achievements

Manama, Feb. 14 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has lauded the 'unprecedented' Bahraini and GCC sports achievements at the international level, asserting that Shaikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa's running for FIFA presidency is a source of pride for Bahrain. While meeting senior state officials, HRH the Prime Minister voiced strong support to Shaikh Salman's Fifa presidency bid, and expressed confidence in his ability to develop the game thanks to his hard work and dedication as shown through his presidency of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), wishing him every success. Meanwhile, HRH Premier lauded brotherly Qatar's organisation of the World Cup 2022, stressing that GCC people should be proud of Shaikh Salman bin Ibrahim's Fifa presidency bid and Qatar's hosting of the World Cup. On economy, HRH the Premier affirmed that the increasing number of development projects in kingdom despite the challenges imposed by the global economy is a living proof of the soundness and integrity of the government's economic policies, noting that the government is keen on launching more initiatives to revitalise the economy and stimulate growth.
