HRH Premier, Kuwaiti Amir hold talks

Manama, June 22 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa held talks with Kuwaiti Amir Shaikh Sabah Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah at Dasman Palace, in the presence of Crown Prince Shaikh Nawaf Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah and Prime Minister Shaikh Jaber Al Mubarak Al Hamad Al Sabah.
Discussions focused on ways of bolstering bilateral cooperation as well as regional and international issues of common interest. HRH the Premier and the Kuwaiti leadership reviewed distinguished fraternal ties binding both countries and ways of further cementing them in various fields. He conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the Kuwaiti Amir, stressing keenness to build on the solid basis of bilateral cooperation which derives strength from deep-rooted historic relations between both countries.
HRH the Premier congratulated the Kuwaiti Amir on the holy month of Ramadan, wishing him abundant good health and happiness and a happy return of the occasion for him, the Kuwaiti people as well as the Arab and Islamic nations. He commended the key role played by Kuwait at the Gulf, Arab and international levels, affirming that Bahrain and Kuwait have a common vision regarding the crucial phase undergone by the region and the need for stronger cooperation to maintain regional security and stability.
HRH the Prime Minister and the Kuwaiti Amir asserted the need for stronger GCC cooperation due to fast-paced regional developments and their repercussions. They discussed the overall regional and international issues, underlining the need to support all efforts aimed at fulfilling the aspirations of the GCC countries and maintaining their strength and unity.
The Kuwaiti Amir held an Iftar banquet in honour of HRH the Premier which was attended by the Kuwaiti Crown Prince, Prime Minister and senior officials.
