HRH Premier: GCC security will not be compromised
Manama, Apr. 14 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has affirmed that the actions taken by the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, and their unified stances towards threats to the region's security convey clear messages to the whole world, with theoretical and practical dimensions, that there is no compromise when it comes to GCC security.
"We are peoples of peace and love, and our hands are stretched to all, but, at the same time, we never accept that that the security of our countries is at risk by any one," he said.
HRH Premier pointed out that GCC countries will adopt unified stances in dealing with all fateful issues in various fields, stressing that with the launch of the "Coalition of Good" aiming to support legitimacy in Yemen, new forms of joint action to safeguard security and stability in the region were created.
The coalition reflects GCC countries' desire to build up diverse forms of cooperation and rapprochement among them at the political, defence and economic fields to maintain the stability and development of their local communities, he explained.
HRH the Prime Minister made the statements as he received here today senior Royal Family members and state officials, in the presence of the Kuwaiti Ambassador to Bahrain Shaikh Azzam Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah and the UAE Ambassador Abdul Redha Khoury.
HRH Premier voiced pride in the Bahraini society's cohesion, and dedication to serving the homeland, stressing that the government has mobilised all its potentials to ensure decent living for the Bahraini citizens.
On GCC affairs, HRH the Prime Minister recalled with appreciation the role played by the UAE and Kuwait in enhancing joint GCC action and cooperation in order to reach the highest levels of joint coordination.
He highlighted the solid ties bonding Bahrain and brotherly Kuwait and UAE, growing steadily thanks to their leaderships' constant support.
