HRH Premier condoles with Kuwaiti counterpart, affirms support

Manama, June 26 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa today held a telephone call with his Kuwaiti counterpart Shaikh Jaber Al Mubarak Al Sabah. HRH Premier offered sincere condolences and consolation over the victims of the cowardly terror incident which hit Al-Imam Al-Sadiq Mosque in Al-Sawaber neighborhood in Kuwait city during the Friday prayers, killing many worshippers and wounding others. HRH the Prime Minister strongly condemned the heinous terror blast reflecting deviant and extremist ideology. He stressed that the targeting of houses of worship and encroaching on their sanctity prove the determination and insistence of a category of people, which belongs to no religion or creed, to plant the seeds of sedition and sow divide between the two components of the Nation. HRH Premier emphasised that Kuwait, and other countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), will remain immune against malicious plots, stressing that GCC peoples are highly aware of what is being plotted against them, and, therefore, such acts will make them stronger. HRH the Prime Minister affirmed that Bahrain supports brotherly Kuwait and backs all measures it deems necessary to safeguard its security and stability. Kuwaiti Prime Minister expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to HRH Premier for his good feelings, praising his keenness to support Kuwait and back its measures to combat terrorism and eradicate it, which, he said, reflects the depth of the Bahraini-Kuwaiti relations.
