Manama, Apr. 27 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has affirmed that Bahraini citizens are given top priority in the government's strategy, stressing that enhancing the services provided for them is the main preoccupation of the government, and the core of its work.
"There is no life without security and stability. We have to preserve the hard-won national achievements, and allow nothing to distract us from fulfilling our people's aspirations for prosperity, and everything else," he said.
HRH Premier asserted that government work is focused on ensuring sufficient services in all the regions, especially villages, noting that those efforts are being followed up constantly by service ministers.
He affirmed that the government is keen to ensure that the citizens, whether in villages or towns, have equal access to its services, and receive similar ones.
HRH Premier voiced the statements as he received here today the Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, former Speaker Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Dhahrani and a number of MPs. They lauded his directives to ministers to visit villages to be informed closely about their needs regarding services, projects and facilities, which, they said, would bring about a giant leap in villages' development.
HRH Premier reviewed with the audience the march of government-parliament cooperation, progressing steadily in light of the two sides' joint desire to achieve the best for the Bahraini citizens.
He added that cooperation among all constitutional branches is the best means to optimise national achievements and build on them, calling on everyone to double efforts in serving the homeland and the citizens.
He stressed the importance of enhancing coordination and mutual understanding between the executive and the legislature in order to achieve more development and progress.
HRH the Prime Minister re-affirmed his personal follow-up on ministers and officials, and directives to them to intensify interaction and coordination with MPs and Shura members to achieve public goals.
He highlighted the need to develop legislations that serve the national economy and contribute to improving the citizens' standards of living.
