HRH Premier calls for safeguarding regional security, stability

Manama, Feb. 7 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has stressed the importance of safeguarding regional security and stability. HRH the Prime Minister warned of the challenges posing a threat to the security of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, calling for concerted efforts to face those threats. "All GCC countries stand in the same trench in confronting threats, especially terrorism," he said, praising the Saudi-led Arab Coalition as an example of GCC and Arab cooperation in facing external conspiracies staged against the GCC. HRH Premier made the statements while receiving at the Gudaibiya Palace today a number of Royal Family members and senior state officials. HRH the Prime Minister stressed that the world is going through volatile political and economic situations, which requires more awareness to maintain the security and stability of the nation. "The various kinds of challenges should by no means affect our solidarity and the cohesion of our social fabric. We have to step up our dedication in the service of the nation, and turn challenges into real opportunities to meet our aspirations for our nation and people" HRH Premier said. On economy, HRH Premier asserted that despite the current situation, the development process is going on in all regions as planned, especially service, housing, health, education and infrastructure projects, in order to provide the requirements of decent and prosperous life for the citizens.
