HRH Premier calls for coordination in promoting investment opportunities

Manama, May 13 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has called for complementarity among all sectors regarding the promotion of the kingdom's investment opportunities. Such coordination will attract more direct foreign investments into Bahrain, and support the government's initiatives aiming to improve the investment atmosphere and diversify sources of income, he said. HRH Premier affirmed that the government will carry on its efforts to stimulate the economic activities and trade momentum, within the existing partnership with the relevant sides, particularly the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), in order to strengthen the pillars of a sustainable economy that contributes to ensuring a more prosperous future for the people of Bahrain. HRH the Prime Minister made the remarks as he received here today Royal Family members and senior state officials. HRH Premier revealed the government's plans to embark on implementing more nation-building and development projects, stressing that despite local and global economic challenges, the government is resolved to optimise achievements in the development field. "We are always determined to achieve the best for the nation and the people," he told the audience, noting that the government's work is carried out according to a clear and comprehensive strategy aiming to ensure sustainable development and progress, and maintain Bahrain's leading status in various fields. HRH Premier highlighted the importance of the exhibitions and conferences industry in enhancing the kingdom's reputation and distinguished status at the international arena, stressing that Bahrain's success in hosting mega world events reflects its outstanding organsiational potentials, on the one hand, and promotes its distinguished investment atmosphere and economic, development and political progress, on the other. BCCI Chairman Khalid Abdulrahman Al-Moayyad lauded HRH the Prime Minister's constant support to the private sector, in order to enable it to play a more positive role in the kingdom's economy. He also praised the elements of success provided by the government, led by HRH Premier, to consolidate the business environment and attract more investments, which, he said, represents a significant support to the private sector in the kingdom.
