His Royal Highness the Prime Minister upon arrival at the Airport was received by the Kuwaiti Prime Minister, the Deputies of the Prime Minister, several Kuwaiti officials; and, the Kingdom of Bahrain's Ambassador to the State of Kuwait.
His Royal Highness the Prime Minister and the Kuwaiti Prime Minister at the VIP's Hall explored historic bilateral relations and means of boosting these relations in all spheres.
His Royal Highness the Prime Minister upon arrival delivered a statement in which His Royal Highness said:
"We're delighted to visit our second home the State of Kuwait in this brotherly visit during which we'll meet our brother His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmed Al Jabir Al Sabah the Emir of the state of Kuwait laden with the greetings of HM the King, the Kingdom's Government and people and their sincere wishes for more advancement, progress and prosperity".
His Royal Highness added:
"We'll avail of this opportunity to affirm the deep-rooted solid historic bilateral relations between the leaderships and peoples of the two countries and explore means capable of consolidating the bonds of cooperation and coordination which maintain the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)'s march, unity and strength and the interest of its peoples especially in the current critical conditions, political, economic and security challenges facing the region which requires collective work in order to reap the benefit to all GCC countries and which necessitate solidarity and keeping away from anything that stirs divisionism, and we appreciatively remember in this context the Riyadh Complementary Agreement reached thanks to the wisdom of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, asking Allah for healing and wellness to him, and thanks to the favorable efforts of His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmed Al Jabir Al Sabah the Emir of the State of Kuwait, and the commitment expressed by the GCC leaders without which we could not have reached this agreement to which all of us have aspired towards further collective work to push the march of joint GCC work, hoping that all member countries will comply with the agreement in all aspects, especially in the media field by not giving any hostile media a chance to tarnish this historic agreement".
"The GCC countries are located in a disorderly region as everybody knows the fast ephemeral situations and events and unless integration and the collective interest outweighs the individualism become the slogan of the phase, developments will cast negative impacts. And we are sure that our brethren in the State of Kuwait share with their brethren in the Kingdom of Bahrain the efforts aimed at maintaining solidarity, cohesion and integration that consolidate the joint GCC work," HRH the Premier affirmed.
