HRH Crown Prince receives US Ambassador

Manama, Sept. 22 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, today met the Ambassador of the United States to the Kingdom of Bahrain, William Roebuck, at Gudaibiya Palace. His Royal Highness highlighted the Kingdom’s continued support to international efforts to provide a secure environment throughout the region, and that a key priority of collaborative efforts must be to change the way in which we look at combatting theocratic ideologies, in order to address them at their source. His Royal Highness praised the longstanding ties between Bahrain and the US, and highlighted that cooperation between the two countries continues to grow across a wide range of areas. His Royal Highness added that the US continues to play an integral role in promoting long-term security and stability in the region and across the world. The meeting also presented an opportunity for His Royal Highness and the US Ambassador to discuss regional developments. Ambassador Roebuck expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the opportunity to meet with His Royal Highness, and welcomed His Royal Highness’ interest and support in further enhancing relations between Bahrain and the United States.
