HRH Crown Prince congratulates AFC president on re-election

Manama, Apr. 30 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, has sent a cable of congratulations to the President of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Shaikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa on his election uncontested for a second term in office. HRH the Crown Prince affirmed that Shaikh Salman's winning of such a prestigious Asian position reflects the distinguished status enjoyed by Bahrain in the field of youth and sport. Such a landmark accomplishment adds to the Kingdom's rich record of landmark sport achievements, HRH the Crown Prince said, adding that Shaikh Salman's re-election proves Bahraini competencies' outstanding capability in leading sports associations. HRH Crown Prince pledged every support to Shaikh Salman bin Ibrahim in continuing his efforts to develop the game of football across the Asian continent, wishing him further success.
