HRH Crown Prince arrives in Moscow

Moscow, Apr27(BNA) His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister arrived this evening at Vnukovo Airport in Moscow for a working visit to Russia. Upon arriving in Moscow, His Royal Highness stated that the visit aims to strengthen bilateral ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Russian Federation, with a focus on trade and investment, culture and tourism, and civil aviation. His Royal Highness went on to say that this visit aimed to build upon the steady growth of ties following His Majesty King Hamad’s previous state visit to Moscow. The visit is in response to an official invitation extended to His Royal Highness by the Russian Prime Minister Dimitry Medvedev, and coincides with the Bahrain-Russian Business Forum due to take place on 29 April. The Forum, jointly organised by the Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB), the Russian-Bahrain Business Council, and the Russian-Arab Business Council aims to identify opportunities to enhance links between Bahrain and Russia. Several agreements are expected to be signed during the visit. Upon arrival, His Royal Highness was received by the Presidential Special Envoy for the Middle East, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, and the Bahraini Ambassador to the Russian Federation, His Excellency Hashim Al Bash.
