Housing minister receives US Congress delegation

Manama, May 27 (BNA): Minister of Housing Bassim bin Yaqoub Al-Hamar received here today a delegation from the US Congress, currently on a visit to Bahrain. Al-Hamar lauded the deep-rooted bilateral relations in several fields, affirming that the Kingdom of Bahrain enjoys a long history in the provision of housing services, thanks to the unlimited support from the leadership and government. The minister reviewed the ministry's plans of providing social housing for low-income citizens and various initiatives offered by the government, in order to provide adequate housing for the citizens. The delegation expressed delight for visiting Bahrain and appreciation for the government's keenness on providing social housing.
