House Speaker Meets EU Head Mission In Iraq

BAGHDAD, Iraq (NINA) - Speaker of Parliament Salim al-Jubouri affirmed Iraq's need to international community's support to rebuild liberated cities and return displaced people to their areas. "The speaker of the parliament discussed with the European Union ambassador in Iraq, Patrick Simone, and the accompanying delegation on the occasion of the end of his duties in Iraq, the main political and security developments in the country as well as discussing bilateral relations between Iraq and the European Union countries," a statement from Jubouri's office said. "Iraqi forces continue to prepare for the liberation of the rest of the territory controlled by the criminal gangs, especially Tal Afar, Hawija and areas west of Anbar, and Iraq needs the international community to stand with Iraq," Jubouri said.
