HM King visits BDF General Command headquarters

Manama, Aug. 31 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa paid a visit today to Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) General Command headquarters where he was welcomed by BDF Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Defence Minister Lieutenant General Yousef bin Ahmed Al Jalahma and senior officers. HM the King met senior BDF officers and gave them his directives, thanking all BDF personnel for their dedicated efforts to serve the nation and assume their honourable duties in defending the homeland, citizens' dignity and the development march. HM the King lauded the advanced level and high competence of BDF weaponries, describing them as the cornerstone of comprehensive national growth, civilisational and development gains and a source of pride for all. He also praised the noble and humanitarian participation of BDF in the Saudi-led Restoring Hope Operation and cooperation of its personnel with their GCC brethren to bring about peace in Yemen and the whole region. HM the King commended the courage and high professionalism of the BDF personnel, wishing them continuous success.
