HM the King, Saudi Monarch hold talks

Jeddah, Sept. 16 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa held here today a meeting with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, in the presence of the Saudi Crown Prince, Deputy Premier and Interior Minister HRH Prince Mohammed bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Deputy Crown Prince, Second Deputy Premier and Defence Minister HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. HM the King expressed sincere thanks to the Saudi monarch for the warm welcome and hospitality accorded to him, which, he said, reflects the outstanding deep-rooted Bahraini-Saudi relations. HM the King and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques discussed the fraternal Bahraini-Saudi relations, progressing steadily in all fields. The two monarchs affirmed their keenness on bolstering bilateral ties in order to achieve the highest levels of fruitful cooperation, and enhance joint action to meet the aspirations of the two brotherly peoples for further success and prosperity. HM King Hamad stressed the strength of bilateral relations and the shared desire of the two countries to boost them in all fields in order to achieve common interests. HM the King lauded Saudi Arabia's leadership of the Arab Coalition in which the personnel of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) are engaged, alongside their brethren from the Saudi and UAE armed forces, in defending legitimacy in brotherly Yemen, as well as the sovereignty of their countries and dignity of their citizens, wishing Yemen security and stability so as to carry on its development and progress. HM King Hamad lauded King Salman's outstanding efforts and benevolent initiatives, which, he said, contributed significantly to warding off many dangers jeopardizing the region. Such efforts embody the leading and continuous role played by Saudi Arabia amid the critical situation the region is currently going through, HM the King said. The two leaders discussed the latest regional, Arab and global developments. HM the King valued highly Saudi Arabia's stances in support of Arab and Islamic issues, and efforts to unify Arab stances so as to be able to face the challenges facing the Arab Nation. HM King Hamad attended a lunch banquet hosted by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in his honour.
