HM the King receives letter from Jordanian monarch

Manama, Sept. 21 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has received a written message from HM King Abdulla II of Jordan pertaining to the long-standing bilateral relations and ways to open up new horizons of joint cooperation, as well as the latest regional developments. This came as HM the King received at Al-Sakhir Palace today the Speaker of the Jordanian House of Representatives Atef Tarawneh, who handed over to him the letter. Al-Tarawneh conveyed to HM King Hamad greetings from HM King Abdulla II and his best wishes of further progress and prosperity to Bahrain, under HM's leadership. HM the King requested the Jordanian Speaker to convey his greetings to King Abdulla II and wishes of more progress and prosperity to the brotherly people of Jordan. HM King Hamad welcomed the Speaker of the Jordanian House of Representatives and his accompanying delegation, and affirmed the strength of the deep-rooted outstanding bilateral relations and keenness on bolstering them in various fields, expressing pride in the two kingdom's reliance on national human resources. HM the King praising the existing Bahraini-Jordanian parliamentary cooperation and exchange of expertise, which, he said, has contributed to developing the democratic experience in the two countries, hailing the democratic achievements attained by Jordan as a result of its parliamentary march. HM King Hamad underscored the importance of parliamentary delegations' visits and exchange of expertise in enhancing coordination at regional and international gatherings to serve the Arab Nation's issues and interests. HM the King voiced pride in the honourable stances of Jordan, under the leadership of HM King Abdulla II, towards the kingdom of Bahrain, its historical role in defending Arab and Islamic issues and tireless efforts to maintain regional security, stability and peace. HM King Hamad highlighted the strides of the Bahraini parliamentary march, affirming that the kingdom has succeeded in adopting an effective and exemplary democratic experience based on the Constitution and the Law through the Representatives and Shura councils which receive all necessary support to assume their supervisory and legislative roles. HM the King reviewed with the audience the latest regional and global developments and issues of joint interests, wishing the delegation a successful visit to Bahrain.
