HM King receives key officials

Manama, Oct.31 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa received at Gudaibiya Palace Arab League Secretary-General Dr. Nabil Al-Arabi, Special Envoy for Yemen Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani on the sidelines of the 11th edition of the IISS Manama Dialogue 2015, which opened yesterday in Bahrain. HM the King commended their participation in the importance forum and exchanged views on the regional and international security, political and economic issues on the agenda. He stressed Bahrain's pioneering role in hosting such forums which provide a platform to exchange ideas and debate key issues that serve regional and international security and stability. HM the King reviewed with the UN Special Envoy developments in Yemen and efforts to achieve security and stability there, commending his dedicated efforts in this regard. He lauded cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the UN agencies, hailing the pivotal role of the international organisation to in finding solutions to global issues and problems and maintaining security and stability in the world. He commended the efforts of the GCC Secretary-General and his assistants and staff to support the march of the council and ensure more achievements. He paid tribute to the Arab-League secretary-general for his dedicated efforts to promote joint Arab work and bolstering coordination and cooperation to confront all current challenges facing the Arab nation. He wished them success in their participation in the Manama Dialogue 2015 to achieve the desired goals and consolidate regional and international security and stability.
