HM the King receives IISS-Middle East Executive Director

Manama, May 27 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received at Safriya Palace today Executive Director of the International Institute for Strategic Studies in the Middle East (IISS-Middle East) Sir John Jenkins and Director General Qatada Zaman. HM the King welcomed them and congratulated them on their appointment to their new posts, praising their great experience and high competence and wishing them every success. He underlined the importance of cooperation between Bahrain and IISS to boost the kingdom's status as a major host of international conferences and forums and exchange views on promoting regional and international security and stability. HM the King hailed the role played by IISS in organising Manama Dialogue Forum, stressing the importance of the event in shedding light on global security issues and their various repercussions. He also stressed the important role of Bahrain-based IISS-Middle East in this respect. The IISS-Middle East Executive Director thanked HM the King for Bahrain's continuous support to Manama Dialogue Forum and the facilities provided for the institute in organising various functions.
