HM the King receives French defence staff chief

Manama, Mar. 8. (BNA) – His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received at Al-Safriya Palace today the French Chief of Defence Staff General Pierre de Villiers and his accompanying delegation, currently on a visit to the Kingdom. HM the King reviewed with Gen. Pierre de Villiers the solid deep-rooted Bahraini-French relations, progressing steadily in all fields, lauding the outstanding level of bilateral cooperation and coordination, especially regarding military and defence fields and joint action within the international coalition to eliminate all forms of terrorism. HM the King affirmed that such visits contribute to developing joint relations for the common benefits of the two friendly peoples. HM King Hamad praised the good efforts exerted by France, along with other countries, to promote security, stability and peace across the region. HM the King also discussed with the French Chief of Defence Staff the latest regional and global developments. The two sides agreed on the importance of combating all forms of terrorism within the International Coalition. The French Chief of Defence Staff lauded the outstanding Bahraini-French friendship relations in all fields.
