HM King praises US role in maintaining security, stability

Manama, Aug 24 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today received US Ambassador to Bahrain William Roebuck, accompanied by Vice Admiral John Miller, Commander US Naval Forces Central Command, US 5th Fleet, marking the completion of his tenure in Bahrain, and his successor, Admiral Kevin Donegan. HM the King praised the deep-rooted relations between the two countries in all fields, and the progress attained in military coordination and defence cooperation. HM the King highlighted Bahrain's keenness to uplift cooperation to benefit the aspirations of the two countries and their friendly peoples. HM the King commended the efforts of Vice Admiral Miller in reinforcing bilateral cooperation relations and underlined the role of the United States, allies and friends in maintaining security and stability in the region, combating terrorism and supporting world peace. HM the King conferred the Bahrain Medal of the First Class on Vice Admiral Miller and wished him success in his future missions to contribute to bolstering the region's security and stability.
