HM the King to patronise Arab Athletics Championship

Manama, Apr. 22 (BNA): Under the auspices of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the 19th Arab Athletics Championship for men and women will kick-off tomorrow at the Khalifa Sports City. About 700 male and female athletes from 21 Arab countries will participate in the 19th Pan Arab Championships (Women/Men), which will run until April 27. HM the King's patronage reflects his interest in the youth and sport movement in Bahrain and the Arab World and constant support for athletes. The kingdom's hosting of such a mega sporting event proves anew its outstanding capabilities to host various regional, continental and international gatherings. The opening ceremony of the event will be at seven pm.
