HM King Hamad tours BIAS 2016

Manama, Jan. 21 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa toured today Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS) 2016 and got informed about military and civil planes, air navigation equipment and cutting edge systems in the aviation field. He also paid visits to pavilions of the air companies and listened to a briefing by their representatives on the main technological developments and new innovations in the civil and military aviation sector. He thanked brotherly and friendly countries as well as the international aviation companies for their participation in BIAS, stressing Bahrain's constant keenness to further bolster relations with those countries. HM the King lauded the tremendous efforts made by Personal Representative of HM the King and Head of the Supreme Organising Committee Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa and the committee members to ensure success of the exhibition and assert Bahrain's pioneering role on the regional and world map. He emphasised distinction of this year's show in terms of participation and attendance. HM King Hamad praised the air shows which reflected the high competence of the pilots, stressing the role of Bahrain Defence Force and the Royal Bahrain Air Force in preparing and organising for the event. He commended their participation in the air shows which reflected their high capability and competence. HM the King underscored the importance of BIAS in invigorating the economic, trade and tourism fields and boosting the national economy, wishing the participants every success.
