HM King Hamad receives commander of Egyptian military delegation

Manama, Apr. 27 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received at Sakhir Palace today BDF Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa who introduced to him commander of the Egyptian military delegation Rear Admiral Ahmed Mahmoud Mefrah. HM the King welcomed the delegation who are on a visit to Bahrain on the occasion of the Egyptian Armed Forces' participation in "Hamad 1" joint drill. He praised the Egyptian participation in the military exercise which, he said, reflects deep-rooted historic and fraternal relations between both countries and their progress mainly in the military field. HM King Hamad lauded the Efforts of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi and his role in promoting bilateral relations and cooperation for the best interest of both countries and peoples. He underscored the importance of such joint exercises in fostering coordination between both countries by exchanging military expertise and boosting combat capabilities to face various challenges and back pan-Arab work. HM the King emphasised that Egypt represents the strategic depth of the Arab nation, commending its pioneering role in defending Arab issues and interests. He also praised common features between Bahrain and Egypt, adding that both countries boast a glorious history and civilisation.
