HM King Hamad hails Bahrain people

Manama, Dec.2 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa congratulated Bahrain people on the near advent of the National Day. He also extended sincere congratulations on the Martyrs' Day, which will fall on the 17th of December.
The annual day, he said, has been added as an occasion to pay homage to the nation's martyrs and commemorate the martyrs of duty since the foundation of Bahrain. HM the King was speaking he received at Al-Sakhir Palace a number of citizens, out of keenness to reach out to the people of Bahrain.
"They have instilled in us moral values, armed us with knowledge and brought us up for this day", he said."Inshallah we learn the lesson and bring up our children for the coming days and those days which may be difficult", he added.
HM the king welcomed the attendees and hailed their stances, lauding their dedicated efforts to serve Bahrain and its people as well as their brethren in the region. He highlighted Bahrain's pivotal regional and international role as well as contributions and participations which serve good causes.
He paid tribute to the people of Bahrain and stressed their long-standing reputation, which was passed down from generation to generation, hailing their trade, cultural and defence contributions over centuries. He prayed to Allah Almighty to bless the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people and guide them on the path of success, wishing all happy new year in advance.
"We are lucky to belong to this good country and we thank Allah Almighty for being closely-knit", he said, hailing Bahrainis for their culture and knowledge. Poet Mohammed Hadi Al-Halwaji recited a poem before HM the King. Shura Council member Shaikh Adel Al-Maawda thanked HM the King for the occasion which, he said, strengthens communal unity, cements cohesion and bolsters national security and prosperity.
He lauded HM the King for his policies with the neighbors, especially the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, a pivotal country which represents the backbone of the region. He commended the Saudi role in advocating the causes of the nation and championing unity of stances, hailing Bahrain's honorable stances as part of the Arab Alliance.
He also paid tribute to the nation's heroes His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa and His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa for supporting their brethren in Yemen so that they can live in peace, security and prosperity. Sadoq Al-Baharna also paid tribute to HM the King for his charity works and assistance to mosques and community centers (maatams), following in the steps of late Shaikh Salman bin Hamad.
