HM King condoles with Egyptian President

Manama, Feb. 16 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa sent a cable of condolences to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi on the death of former UN Secretary-General Dr. Boutros Boutros-Ghali. HM the King extended deepest condolences to President Al-Sisi, the deceased's family and the Egyptian people. HM the King paid homage to the defunct who dedicated his efforts to advocate the regional and international causes and strengthen solidarity and unity. He paid tribute to late Dr. Boutros, describing him as a source of pride for Egypt and the Arab nation, hailing his credentials, competence and far-sighted vision. He hailed his active role in running the Egyptian diplomacy successfully and leading the UN General-Secretariat competently. "The Arab nation has lost with his death a great and charismatic Egyptian diplomat", HM the King said.
