HM King arrives in Rabat

Rabat, May 17 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa arrived in Rabat last night on a brotherly visit to the Kingdom of Morocco. His Majesty was welcomed by HM King Mohammed VI. Moroccan Prime Minister Abdelelah Benkirane, Foreign Minister Salaheddine Mezouar, Minister Delegate to the Interior Minister Al Sharqi Idris, the Kingdom of Bahrain's Ambassador to Morocco Khalid bin Salman Al-Mussallam, and senior Moroccan civilian and military officials were also among the wellwishers at the airport. His Majesty the King was accorded an official reception and shook hands with senior state officials. King Mohammed VI was greeted by members of the delegation accompanying His Majesty the King. During a brief pause, His Majesty the King and King Mohammed VI exchanged conversations. His Majesty's motorcade was escorted by the Moroccan King to His Majesty's place of residence. In an arrival statement,HM the King said "it is a great pleasure to be in the Kingdom of Morocco to meet our brother HM King Mohammed VI as part of our firm policy of constantly meeting and consultation with His Majesty to boost the historic ties between our two countries and peoples." The visit is manating from the close relations and genuine wish to develop cooperation to achieve our ambitions and fulfil our aspirations of further consolidating these outstanding relations and our firm keenness on effectively responding to transformations and challenges in our Arab region and to exchange views on everything that boosts the region's security and stability, His Majesty said. His Majesty expressed sincere appreciation and pride at the Moroccan Kingdom's stances in support of Bahrain in all circumstances and its permanent keenness on bolstering and deepening cooperation in all fields to achieve common goals. "We value the leading efforts undertaken by our brother HM King Mohammed VI for the development and progress of the Kingdom of Morocco who laid the advanced exemplary policy and distinctive developmental path and consolidated Morocco's regional and international position in all fields," His Majesty said. HM King Hamad wished HM King Mohammed VI steady health and happiness and the Moroccan people further development, progress and prosperity.
