HM King addresses extraordinary Arab Summit

Manama, May 30 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today at the extraordinary Arab Summit held at Al Safa Royal Palace in Makkah a keynote speech, in which expressed appreciation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ invitation to attend the extraordinary Arab Summit to discuss the regional developments. HM the King praised the Saudi policy aimed at maintaining the Arab national security, preserving joint Arab action and interests and championing Arab causes. HM the King said countries that sponsor terrorism have become a major threat, not only to the region’s security and stability, but to the global security as well. HM the King said the whole world witnessed the serious crimes and violations carried out by the Iranian-backed terrorist groups against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, which put at risk the region’s security as well as the international navigation and energy corridors in the Gulf, which put the region in a state of instability. HM the King highlighted Bahrain’s solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates in preservation of their security, stability and development based on Arab ties that stem from common destiny and unity. HM the King called for boosting Arab cooperation and solidarity to stand against the current threats that pose real danger. He also called for coordination and cooperation with friendly countries and allies to maintain regional and global security and stability and to carry on with the development and prosperity sought by people of the world. HM the King expressed optimism about activating Arab role to reach a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue based on the Arab peace initiative, the two-state solution and the relevant international conventions in support of the Palestinian's right to establish their sovereign state on the borders of June 4, 1967 with East Al-Quds as its capital. HM the King stressed that Arab leaders would always be peacemakers and would spear no efforts to defend their countries and stability. HM the King expressed confidence in the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ leadership of Arab and Islamic nations and his keenness to strengthen the joint Arab action, which is the right way to face difficult situations.
